Medios Sucios is an initiative to track Hate Speech in the media in Latin America. The project was launched in July 2017.
Medios Sucios is an open-source project hosted on GitHub Pages. The tool accepts and lists websites submitted by the user, visits the website in question, and collects meta data (including title, date, organization, website, and author). The user tags the article based on the form of motivating bias. At launch in July 2017, the website had 20 submissions.
The initiative was supported by the PeaceTech Exchange (PTX) program in 2017.
